Opdracht omschrijving

We are looking for a Communication Advisor for HR projects.

Introduction Two projects within the People Unit require communication support.

1. Individual Performance Management

The project Individual Performance Management (IPM) dedicated at improving the quality of performance dialogues between leaders and employees including implementing a standardized minimum framework of Individual Performance Management in The Netherlands and Germany, is looking for an internal communications advisor who will handle communications for a variety of internal employee groups and stakeholders. With improving the quality of the Individual Performance Management framework, we refer to improved content, process and supporting IT tooling for the cycle of performance conversations between leaders, employees and peers while setting targets, monitoring performance, providing feedback and developing for personal growth. The advisor recognizes the central position that performance dialogues can play in achieving an organisation’s goals on the one hand, and in shaping an individual employee’s career, on the other.

2. Job Catalogue

This project is about developing one corporate Job Catalogue, providing a structured overview of all jobs and insight in each job’s purpose, responsibilities, skills and competences. Our future Job Catalogue is required to achieve efficiencies in our processes and will support making decisions in the growing organisation. There are many stakeholders involved in the development and later use of the Job Catalogue. Your communications expertise is needed to ensure we engage with each of them appropriately. Context of the two projects The advisor ensures appropriate communication to stakeholders such as the Executive Board, leaders, Dutch unions and Ondernemingsraad (OR). For this, the advisor understands the sensitivity of possible consequences of a redesigned IPM framework and new job catalogue for stakeholders such as BR, OR and Unions. The advisor should have a feel for communicating to different employee groups.

The communication advisor develops a communication strategy that shows how communication supports achieving the objectives on changed behaviour for the different employee groups. For example: what should a leader do differently in a performance conversation so that an employee can take better control of his/her own future development? In addition, the communication strategy should include how communication engages the various stakeholders and facilitates the process of design and approval of the new IPM and job catalogue. Based on this communication strategy the advisor determines which internal channels to use for which target group, makes a planning for different communication formats and frequency of messages. The assignment includes creating content (writing and video) for newsletters/internal posts for employee groups and stakeholders, for the roll-out of the supporting IT.

 

FUNCTIE EISEN & – WENSEN:

  • Project management skills: the advisor works systematically and is capable of good project management;
  • Communication skills: the advisor has good communication skills, both orally and in writing, in English and either Dutch or German;
  • Networking: the advisor is fast in becoming a spider in the web of the organisation;
  • Analytical: the advisor is able to analyse the issues at hand, distinguish different target groups and formulate objectives for communication for each target group;
  • Accuracy: the advisor is keen on high quality of messages in Dutch/German and English;
  • Creativity: the advisor is good at finding ways of reaching different audiences, taking into account different ways of being informed.
  • Maximum travel distance to Arnhem is 1 hour.
